Jeffrey Yu Venture Partner,Jeffrey Yu joined St. John's Capital Group as a Venture Partner where he is developing new business opportunities. He brings with him over 10 years of venture capital and angel investment experience along with 12 years of corporate experience in product development, product management and business development. Jeff was the Managing Director of The Angels? Forum where he led over a dozen new investments across multiple market segments including technology, medical and the consumer space. Prior to this, he was a Principal with Crescendo Ventures, where he invested and served on the boards of companies such as Paxera (acquired by NeoPhotonics), Tropic Networks (acquired by Alcatel-Lucent) and Zolo Technologies. He also successfully worked on a number of company restructurings including companies like Symmorphix which was acquired by SpringWorks. Jeff also worked for Nortel Networks in multiple roles including product development, product management and business development where he was involved in a number of multi-billion dollar acquisitions. Prior to this, Jeff started his career in R&D at the National Research Council of Canada and CAE Electronics. Jeff regularly participates as a speaker and panelist in many of Silicon Valley's entrepreneurial forums and events. He also coaches a local youth ice hockey team. Jeff received his Master's and Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from McGill University, Montreal, Canada.
