Mr. Muir is a founder and Partner of Fulcrum Equity Partners, Inc. In 2000, Mr. Muir co-founded Fulcrum Advisory, and is also a co-founder and Managing Partner of the Chatham Funds, a mezzanine finance firm launched in 2001 with $200 million under management. He has more than 25 years of investment, operational, and professional experience and has led over 100 major transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, financings, private equity investments and offerings, both public and private. Prior to forming Fulcrum Advisory and the Chatham Funds, Mr. Muir was Chief Operating Officer for OnTarget, Inc., a leading provider of consulting and training to large sales organizations worldwide, including HP, Cisco, Dell, IBM, Microsoft, Siemens, Deutsche Telecom, Nortel and BellSouth. He spearheaded the highly successful exit strategy for the owners, resulting in a merger with Siebel Systems in December 1999. Prior to OnTarget, Mr. Muir was a Managing Director in the Corporate Finance practice of KPMG. He specialized in mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and other strategic alliances, growth and financing strategies, private placement of debt and equity, strategic planning and operational management. Prior to KPMG, Mr. Muir co-founded Pinnacle Associates, Inc., a physician management firm that merged with PhyMatrix, Inc. just prior to its initial public offering. He has also held senior executive positions with a publicly traded health care company, T2 Medical, and a computer software firm, Information Systems of America. He began his career as an attorney with the Atlanta law firm of Alston & Bird. Mr. Muir was an organizer and former director of North Atlanta National Bank and currently serves on the Boards of Compliance 360, Bruder Healthcare, and BioPheresis Technologies. He is on the Board of the Atlanta Venture Forum and a member of the Communications Group, Association for Corporate Growth, and Society of International Business Fellows. Mr. Muir holds a B.A. and law degree from the University of Georgia, both with honors. Prior to law school, he served as an intelligence officer in the U.S. Air Force, including a tour in the Middle East.
