Jeff Johnston began his career with Roush in 1986 as a staff engineer for Jack Roush Performance Engineering. Mr. Johnston was responsible for building a fleet of vehicles used in the development of engines for the Saturn Corporation. His responsibilities grew to include building one of a kind, high performance cars used as Pace Cars for the Indy CART World Series. Promoted to Program Manager in 1988, Mr. Johnston continued to engineer concept vehicles, while expanding into OEM product development, including leading a Roush team that helped develop the car that returned the name Cobra? to the auto industry in 1993. Mr. Johnston moved into testing operations as General Manager of the dynamometer lab, and In 1994 his responsibilities expanded to include a light duty vehicle emissions lab. He was appointed to the Executive Committee of Roush Technologies in 1995. Mr. Johnston oversaw Roush's expansion into brake testing and on-road vehicle testing, adding facilities throughout the United States. Noise, vibration, and harshness engineering and products were added to his responsibilities in 2000 when he became a Vice President. Mr. Johnston continues to oversee operations at facilities in Michigan, Minnesota, Texas, California, Nevada, and Florida. Prior to joining Roush, Mr. Johnston played two years of professional hockey and coached college hockey for a year and a half. He holds a BSME from Michigan Technological University. Mr. Johnston and his family reside in Novi, Michigan.
