Jamie Meehan heads the New York office and has more than twenty years of experience consulting to clients on liability and damages issues arising in a wide variety of complex business litigation. Mr. Meehan has led consulting teams on hundreds of securities cases, developing expert testimony and analyses for class actions, insider trading suits, derivative matters, and merger and acquisition activity. Recent trial experience includes Fyffes plc v. DCC plc et al., the first civil trial of its kind in the Irish High Court in Dublin; Oracle v. PeopleSoft; Walter B. Hewlett v. Hewlett-Packard Company; and American Pacific Securities Litigation. Mr. Meehan specializes in formulating complex alternative damages scenarios relating to securities, antitrust, and intellectual property issues. He managed the econometric analysis in support of the Union Pacific-Southern Pacific merger proceeding. He also managed the class certification phase of the NASDAQ antitrust litigation. Prior to joining Cornerstone Research, Mr. Meehan developed computer trading models for Goldman Sachs and served as a research assistant to several MIT professors, primarily in the area of options pricing.
