Howard joined DGC as Managing Director in 2010, bringing more than 20 years of experience driving award‐winning brand communication strategies for B2C and B2B organizations. A Brandweek Marketer of the Year honoree, his expertise spans corporate communications, brand management, experiential and promotional marketing, social and new media, licensing, sports and entertainment marketing. Having served in the C-suite at leading companies in retail and entertainment, and having managed agency relationships across all marketing disciplines, Howard offers a unique perspective in counseling DGC's senior-most clients. Prior to DGC, Howard served as Chief Partnership Officer and EVP/Communications at national apparel retailer Steve & Barry's for four years. There he created new brands and utilized new media strategies to catapult the 300‐store chain to the tipping point. A series of celebrity partnerships and cross promotions with Sarah Jessica Parker, Stephon Marbury ("the $14 NBA Starbury Sneaker"), Venus Williams, HBO, Universal Pictures, Red Bull and many others quadrupled company sales in two years and generated billions in PR impressions. As SVP, Corporate Communications at SFX/Clear Channel Entertainment (today Live Nation), Howard directed all external and internal affairs, event and celebrity publicity, crisis communications and government relations for the world's largest live entertainment company. At Draft, he led the agency's global corporate communications department for two years. His consumer PR experience includes directing account work for such brands as McDonald's, Sony, Office Depot, Tommy Hilfiger, CBS Television and other category leaders while serving in senior positions at GolinHarris, KemperLesnik and MKTG.partners. A graduate of the University of Maryland at College Park, Howard is a contributing author to Northwestern University's Handbook of Strategic Public Relations and Integrated Communication (McGraw Hill).
