As co-founder and principal of Catapult, Murrel is a hands-on leader with proven expertise in executing the strategic and tactical aspects of multi-dimensional public relations campaigns. By properly packaging client news for maximum editorial and analyst coverage, Murrel has developed a strong network of media contacts in IT, telecommunications, wireless, enterprise software, manufacturing and e-commerce. Prior to Catapult, Murrel was the president of Murrel Public Relations (MPR), a private company that he established in 1995 after noticing there were few full-service firms qualified to serve the growing tech community in the Denver-Boulder area. At MPR, he provided strategic, results-oriented media relations and marketing communications services to a range of technology companies. Previously, Murrel gained extensive high technology experience working for several successful public relations agencies. As a senior management partner, he performed a wide range of corporate communications functions, including strategic planning, writing of news releases and technical articles, media tours and audits, editorial outreach and management of junior staff members.
