Gianforcaro attended Lehigh University, and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering in 1973. He completed post graduate course work in chemical engineering at Villanova University and the University of Pennsylvania. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Pennsylvania. Gianforcaro obtained a strong background in project engineering, product development and manufacturing management during a 25 year career with Scott Paper Company, and Kimberly Clark. Responsibilities included Project Manager for multimillion dollar papermill expansions, Technical Brand Manager for Scottissue and Scottowels, and multiple plant leadership roles. He also served as Director of Manufacturing Systems with global responsibility for integrating the systems for quality, maintenance, training and high performance work teams. Gianforcaro was the Scott Paper manufacturing team leader for the Kimberly Clark merger. In 1998 Gianforcaro joined Samsonite Corporation as VP Manufacturing responsible for the Denver, CO and Nogales, MX facilities. In 2000 Gianforcaro was recruited to lead the Dunlop Sports Manufacturing Operations for worldwide golf as Manufacturing Director. The group was operated as a standalone profit center, with a $65 mm P&L, the operation produced and shipped golf balls, clubs, and embroidered golf apparel globally. Gianforcaro joined Noble Biomaterials, Inc in September 2006.
