Erin Hart has worked in issue-based communications for nearly 20 years. She manages Fenton's health practice and develops campaigns for clients including the YMCA of San Francisco and The California Wellness Foundation's initiative to grow and diversify the state's health care workforce. Hart specializes in non-profit branding, capacity building and campaign strategy and execution. Prior to joining Fenton, she managed her own firm, worked for a global communications company, and held posts in government and non-profit organizations. Her work with the American Legacy Foundation and health agencies in Indiana, New York and Pennsylvania has contributed to lowering youth smoking rates and in reducing tobacco sales to minors. In addition to health campaigns, Hart has led communications strategy on environmental issues. She served as Florida's environmental education director and developed campaigns that focused public attention on water quality and quantity, endangered species and environmental citizenship. Her crisis communications experience includes work with drinking water, oil spills, fish kills, high-profile crimes and other issues. She has worked with media outlets for stories with Today, The Washington Post, The New York Times, NPR, USA Today, regional news outlets and CNNranging from TV coverage to its popular Twitter feed. Hart has received recognition including SABRE and Women in Social Responsibility awards. She earned a B.S. in journalism from the University of Florida.
