Eric C. Smyth is a founding principal of CIP Real Estate. Mr. Smyth's extensive development and acquisition experience includes the construction, renovation, and management of millions of square feet of office, business and industrial properties. Mr. Smyth oversees portfolio operations for the company and, as a member of the investment committee, coordinates the identification of new property acquisitions. Mr. Smyth was the founder and principal of Smyth Asset Management Co., a commercial property management, brokerage, and consulting firm which became the foundation of the property management subsidiary of CIP Real Estate. Previously, Mr. Smyth was with Smyth Bros, Inc. a real estate developer notable for developing significant portions of Newport Center, Newport Beach, California and Lantern Bay a $100 million residential community in Dana Point, California. Mr. Smyth holds a Bachelors in Science degree from the University of Southern California and a California real estate broker's license.
