Drew Ladner is President & CEO of Pascal Metrics Inc., a company providing patient safety and risk management services to hospitals and healthcare systems worldwide. Prior, Ladner was General Manager at JBoss, running the government division of the software industry's leading open source middleware provider (acquired by Red Hat in 2006), and subsequently at ZURI Technology worked with mobile operators in commercializing Mobicents, open source software disrupting the telecom market. Until 2004, he was Chief Information Officer of the U.S. Department of the Treasury where he managed its $2.6 billion IT organization's operations, overhauled governance, achieved higher security and privacy standards, and implemented a highly innovative portfolio management program. Ladner's career has ranged from early stage ventures such as Netscape to large corporations such as AOL Time Warner, where he launched the European wireless business and later ran PDA and mobile content businesses. He is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and enjoys extensive cross-cultural business experience in Europe, the former Soviet Union, Latin America, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East. Early in his career, he was deeply involved in emerging markets as a strategy consultant with Cannon Associates, a spin-off of Bain & Company, and helped start a micro-enterprise bank in East Africa. He is an investor in the technology, healthcare, and real estate industries. Ladner holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, an MA in theology from the University of Oxford, and a BSFS in international economics from Georgetown University's School of Foreign Service.
