Dennis formed DiPrete Engineering in 1988 after gaining engineering experience in successfully completing public and private projects in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island. As the principal of the firm, he is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the firm's day to day operations, including client service, project strategy, project design, and public presentations. Dennis is also active with many of the firm's projects and provides guidance and assistance to our clients and to the firm's engineering and design teams. His engineering and site design credentials include over 25 years of extensive land planning and environmental engineering relating to all types of public and private land development. Dennis was the recipient of the Freeman Lifetime Achievement Award, presented by the Providence Engineering Society in 2007, for demonstrating engineering excellence and advancing the engineering profession throughout his career. He has also received an award from the RI Chapter of the American Planning Association for Outstanding Implementation and an Award for Outstanding Residential Development for the Advancement of Forest and Open Space Conservation, given by the RI APA and the Southern New England Forest Consortium Client Commitment- The firm believes that one of the most important parts of our job is to get to know the client in order to meet their needs. Over his career, Dennis has built relationships with many clients who to this day remain steady clients and friends of the firm. Community Service- Dennis is also active in the community including the Board of Directors of Grow Smart RI, Board of Governors of Bradley Hospital, the RI Association of Home Builders (Past Director), finding time to be involved in the MS Society fundraising activities, and many other volunteer organizations.
