David Bovet, a Partner at Norbridge, Inc., leads supply chain, sourcing and operations engagements for worldwide clients. He brings 25 years of experience to clients in a range of industries, from high-tech manufacturing to consumer goods. Mr. Bovet creates value through innovative operations strategy, network design, process efficiency, organizational effectiveness, outsourcing and change management. Projects typically deliver short-term cost savings that fund medium-term business transformation. Recent engagements include: Optimizing global manufacturing and distribution for a technology-based equipment maker, driving cost savings and service gains in Asia, Europe and the Americas. Revamping sourcing organizations in Europe and the US to increase savings and productivity through new strategy, better processes and skills and transaction automation. Leading China sourcing initiatives for manufacturers and others seeking major cost savings while avoiding the pitfalls of global operations. Integrating and transforming the purchasing operations of a multi-divisional company acquired by private equity investors, adding $80 million in profits that supported an IPO. Developing successful export operations and global trade logistics for manufacturing and agricultural clients, resulting in smooth launches, higher profits and better customer service. Mr. Bovet is co-author of Value Nets: Breaking the Supply Chain to Unlock Hidden Profits (Wiley & Sons, 2000). David also speaks widely and writes about operations in Harvard Business Review, The Wall Street Journal Europe, Supply Chain Management Review, and Inside Supply Management. Prior to joining Norbridge, Mr. Bovet was a Managing Director of Mercer Management Consulting (now Oliver Wyman), where he co-led the operations team based in Boston and in Paris. Earlier, Mr. Bovet was an economist at The World Bank, managing part of the Brazil lending program. He also served as a US Coast Guard officer. Mr. Bovet received his MBA with highest honors, and an MA in economics, from Stanford University. He also holds engineering degrees from Webb Institute and George Washington University. David is a dual US and Swiss national. He speaks English and French.
