Danny Merchant is the Vice President Advanced Microelectronics at Camgian. He has more than 20 years of experience in the semiconductor industry and has 5 patents related to ASIC design methodology. Prior to joining Camgian, Danny was the Senior Director of worldwide CAD for Cypress Semiconductor where he was responsible for the electronic design automation software and the design methodology used to design all Cypress products. Danny has managed geographically dispersed teams of more than 40 people, has managed profit and loss centers, and has extensive experience negotiating multi-million dollar software contracts. Danny has a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science from Mississippi State University where he has also been a member of the Electrical and Computer Engineering department advisory board. In addition to his role as Vice President, Danny is currently pursuing his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering at Mississippi State.
