Daniela Holt Voith, AIA, LEED AP, is a founding principal of Voith & Mactavish Architects. Holding degrees from Yale University School of Architecture and Bryn Mawr College, Daniela has focused her career on planning and design for educational institutions. She is at the forefront of her field in both design theory and realized projects, and through frequent lectures to the educational and design communities, she enjoys sharing her investigations into architectural best practices. Daniela is also an educator. Over the last twenty-five years, she has taught individual courses at Yale University, University of Pennsylvania and Drexel University, and has developed and taught Bryn Mawr College's design studio program. She often serves on juries for professional awards in architectural design and construction quality, as well as student competitions in design and planning. In addition to winning many awards for architecture with Voith & Mactavish Architects LLP, Daniela has also consistently sought out opportunities to make a positive impact on the greater urban context of Philadelphia. Mayor Michael Nutter recently appointed her to serve on the city's newly formed Zoning Code Commission, tasked with the ambitious goal of rewriting the code in its entirety, as well as redesigning the approval process. This exciting opportunity follows Daniela's tenure on both the Architectural Advisory Committee of the Philadelphia Historical Commission and the Team Pennsylvania Foundation Board. She has been active on the Board of the Philadelphia Chapter of the AIA, serving as chapter president in 1994, as well as the Board of the Foundation for Architecture.
