Craig F. Arcella is a partner in Cravath's Corporate Department. He represents both financial institutions and corporate clients in a wide variety of matters, including capital markets transactions, mergers & acquisitions and syndicated loan transactions. Mr. Arcella's clients have included IBM, State Street Corporation, Johnson & Johnson, Frontier Communications, Montpelier Re Holdings Ltd., INEOS Group and White Mountains Insurance Group. Mr. Arcella has also represented Credit Suisse, J.P. Morgan, Goldman, Sachs & Co. and Bank of America Merrill Lynch in equity, high-yield bond and leveraged acquisition transactions. He is also actively involved in the Firm's Latin American finance and mergers and acquisitions practice and has recently represented Sadia S.A., Springs Global Participações S.A. and ALL - América Latina Logistica. Recent transactions include representing Stanley, Inc. in connection with its sale to CGI Group, representing INEOS Group in connection with the sale of its worldwide fluorochemicals business to Mexichem, representing The Fresh Market, Inc. in its initial public offering, representing the underwriters of the initial public offering of Hyatt Hotels Corporation, and representing the financing sources in connection with the leveraged buyout by The Carlyle Group of Syniverse Holdings, Inc. Mr. Arcella was named by The Legal 500 as a leading lawyer in capital markets for his work on debt offerings in 2009 and 2010 and on high-yield debt offerings in 2010. He was also recognized by the publication for his transactional work in the telecoms and broadcast industry and on global offerings in 2010. Mr. Arcella joined Cravath in 1998 and became a partner in 2007. He worked in Cravath's Hong Kong Office in 1999 and the Firm's London Office from 2001 to 2003, and is currently based in the Firm's New York Office. Mr. Arcella was born in New Haven, Connecticut. He received a B.A. from Duke University in 1995 and a J.D. from Columbia University in 1998 where he was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar and a member of the Law Review.
