Chris Theoharides is the founder and President of Advantage Consulting Group. Chris has worked in the Financial Services industry for more than 25 years and has an extensive background and expertise in credit card marketing, partnership alliances, strategic planning and finance. Mr. Theoharides is considered one of the foremost industry experts in the design and development of loyalty programs including card-based and multi-tender reward programs. He has supported the development and launch of more than 100 loyalty / reward programs. Prior to founding Advantage, Chris worked for The Chase Manhattan Bank (now JP MorganChase). During his tenure with Chase, Chris held several key management positions including Vice President of New Business Development, Vice President of Marketing Planning & Analysis and Vice President of Portfolio Acquisitions and Divestitures. His experience included new product development, co-brand and affinity alliance development, portfolio asset sales, database analysis and economic analysis. Prior to joining Chase Manhattan, Chris worked for the credit card division of Citicorp. At Citicorp, Chris held several senior management positions within the Business Planning & Analysis division. His responsibilities included new product development, affinity and co-brand partnerships, acquisition, activation and retention marketing programs. He was instrumental in the development of the National Football League and American Airlines partnership programs. Mr. Theoharides is frequently called upon to speak, teach, and write about credit card issues. He is responsible for instructing hundreds of industry executives each year on various credit card topics through courses written and instructed for MasterCard University and the American Bankers Association. Courses are instructed both domestically and internationally. Chris received is Bachelor's degree in Finance from Villanova University and his Masters in Business Administration in Marketing from the Columbia University Graduate School of Business.
