Bryan Green, Founder and CEO of Advantage Fitness Products, began his career in the health and fitness industry in 1991. Prior to founding Advantage Fitness Products, Green worked as a senior manager for a leading specialty fitness retailer before piloting their commercial division in 1995. Through his early work in the commercial fitness sector, Green developed his vision for AFP. It was apparent to him that a significant void existed in consultative support for the growing legion of non-traditional health club facilities such as those found within hotels, corporations, housing developments, country clubs, government, and academic settings. Creating exceptional and tailored fitness facility design and providing clients with a complete partner in fitness is Green's passion. In 1997, Green began to devote his energies full-time to AFP. The company was developed as a single-source provider for fitness facility design, supply, and service for facilities of all sizes and profiles. Green spearheads AFP's commitment to improving our communities through health and fitness, including instrumental roles in such organizations as the successful ?1000 Footsteps Challenge? a program created by LA Sheriff Lee Baca to increase the health and fitness levels of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department. Green and AFP are also designated partners of the California Governor's Council on Physical Fitness & Sports. AFP serves as a strategic partner for the Council's ActiveCA? program designed to increase daily activity levels and better health amongst California residents. Green is a frequent industry and public speaker on the subject of effective fitness facility design and operational strategies. Additionally, Green has served as an editorial advisor and contributing writer for numerous publications including Hotel Executive, Fitness Management, Home Gym Magazine, Resort & Recreation, and Shape Magazines. Green also serves on the Editorial Board for Fitness On-Site Magazine, and advisory boards for leading industry equipment suppliers Precor USA and Star Trac Fitness. Green is also a distinguished Board Member of Junior Achievement of Southern California and the Foundation Board for California State University, Northridge. He is also an active member of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO).
