With over 20 years experience in both the private sector and public accounting, including 11 years as an advisor, Mr. Phillips has amassed diverse experience in a wide range of industries. Specializing in turnaround and crisis management, profit enhancement and debt restructuring, Mr. Phillips has represented debtors, creditors and customers in the automotive supply, manufacturing, retail, not-for-profit, government, technology and service industries. Mr. Phillips has served as interim CFO for publicly traded and private companies and also has provided clients with bankruptcy-related services and non-bankruptcy litigation support including forensic accounting, evaluation of claims, and the identification and quantification of damages. Mr. Phillips began his career in public accounting before becoming Corporate Controller for an aluminum extrusion company. He also spent five years serving as CFO of a Tier 1 metal stamping company, during which time he assisted in the company's sale to a Dutch multinational corporation. Mr. Phillips is a graduate of Oakland University where he earned a Bachelor's degree in accounting. He is a CPA, and a member of the AICPA, MACPA, Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Advisors (AIRA), American Bankruptcy Institute (ABI) and Turnaround Management Association (TMA).
