Brian Hickey is a partner at Cassiday Schade LLP. He has more than 20 years of legal experience and has managed the firm's Naperville office since 2000. He has tried more than 20 cases to verdict before juries in the following counties: Cook, DuPage, Kane and Will. In addition to his trial experience, he has appeared and argued cases before the appellate courts and the Illinois Supreme Court. In the area of medical malpractice, he has defended a number of hospitals and physicians. He is well versed in the legal/coverage issues unique to construction defense including tenders of defense, reservations of rights, third-party claims, allocation of fault, tolling agreements and others. His construction negligence defense includes representation of general contractors, subcontractors and independent contractors in defense of wrongful death claims and serious personal injuries, including amputations, loss of vision, fractures, back injuries, paralysis and other varieties of injury claims.
