Andrea Hofelich, Director of Communications Andrea Hofelich joined the National Pharmaceutical Council in 2008 as Director of Communications, where she is responsible for the development and implementation of NPC's communications strategies, including media relations and electronic communications. Previously, she served for four years as Director of Media Relations for the Generic Pharmaceutical Association and, prior to that, as the Communications Director for the U.S. Senate Governmental Affairs Committee (now Governmental Affairs and Homeland Security), where she was responsible for developing the Committee's media plan and generating public attention for the chairman, Senator Susan Collins (R-ME). She also worked as a press secretary for U.S. Representatives Nancy L. Johnson (R-CT) and Dick Zimmer (R-NJ), as well as for two U.S. Senate races and state legislative campaigns in New Jersey. In addition, Ms. Hofelich served as the Director of Web Content and Managing Editor for the monthly print publication at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. Ms. Hofelich holds an M.B.A. in marketing from the University of Maryland and a B.A. in journalism and history/political science from Rutgers University.
