Alan B. Patzik is a founder and partner of PFS. Mr. Patzik focuses his practice primarily in counseling a broad range of clients throughout various industries in connection with mergers and acquisitions, federal and state securities matters, debt and equity offerings, tax matters, real estate transactions, commercial financings and other general business matters. Mr. Patzik's hands-on involvement with his clients has allowed him to develop in-depth knowledge of a number of manufacturing, distribution, and real estate industries. He serves as "general counsel" to a large number of privately-held businesses and is particularly proud of his acknowledged role as counselor and advisor to these entities and their principals. Mr. Patzik was born in Chicago, Illinois. He is a graduate of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (B.S., Accounting, with highest honors, 1981, Bronze Tablet, James Scholar) and Northwestern University (J.D., 1984). He was a member of Beta Alpha Psi, Phi Beta Sigma, and Phi Beta Gamma. Mr. Patzik was admitted to the Illinois State Bar and the Bar of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois in 1984. Mr. Patzik is also a registered Certified Public Accountant in Illinois and has authored numerous articles. Mr. Patzik is a member of the Chicago, Illinois State and American (Member, Sections of: Business Law; Taxation; Real Property) Bar Associations. He also serves as a member of the board of directors and the advisor boards of a number of companies, charitable organizations, and other not-for-profit institutions.
