Zapata Ranch

Zapata Ranch is a bison and guest ranch located in Mosca, Colorado. Owned by The Nature Conservancy and managed by Ranchlands, the ranch spans 103,000 acres and employs 20 to 49 people. Zapata Ranch offers working ranch vacations, educational programs focused on its bison herd, and a variety of conservation initiatives. The ranch also operates a livestock enterprise. Guests can experience the diverse landscapes of the ranch, which include high desert grasslands, alpine forests, wetlands, sand dunes, creeks, and lush meadows. Bordering Great Sand Dunes National Park and Preserve, the ranch provides a unique opportunity to immerse oneself in the scenic and ecologically rich San Luis Valley.
