World Energy Cities Partnership

The World Energy Cities Partnership (WECP) is a non-profit organization founded in 1995 and based in Houston, Texas. The WECP consists of six employees and generates an annual revenue of $2.5 million. It serves as a forum for eighteen globally recognized World Energy Cities to collaborate on policy issues. The WECP facilitates dialogue and cooperation among its member cities, focusing on topics such as economic development, business growth, sustainable living, and quality of life. These cities convene biannually to share best practices and work towards common goals related to the energy sector. The WECP's Presidency is currently held by Esbjerg, Denmark, under the leadership of Mayor Jesper Frost Ramussen. The organization's Secretariat is based in Houston, Texas, providing administrative support and coordination for its activities.
