Wildlife Leadership Academy

Wildlife Leadership Academy is a small, Pennsylvania-based organization with five employees dedicated to inspiring young people to become passionate advocates for conservation. Operating from Lock Haven, they aim to empower high school students to become what they call "Conservation Ambassadors," carrying the torch for wildlife, fisheries, and natural resources. The Academy offers a unique year-round program designed to instill both scientific knowledge and leadership abilities. Their intensive summer field schools provide hands-on experiences in wildlife/fisheries biology and conservation, alongside training in leadership development. Throughout the year, students participate in community outreach initiatives encompassing education, service projects, media engagement, creative arts, and outdoor mentorship. This immersive program aims to cultivate a deep understanding and appreciation for the environment within its participants.
