Westport Country Playhouse

Westport Country Playhouse is a not-for-profit theater located in Westport, Connecticut. Established in 1931, the Playhouse has grown to become a cultural landmark, employing 36 people. Westport Country Playhouse creates quality productions of both new and classic plays, showcasing them to a diverse audience. Their programming extends beyond theatrical performances, encompassing educational programming, workshops, a children's theater series, symposiums, music, films, and readings. Throughout its history, Westport Country Playhouse has produced over 700 plays, 36 of which have subsequently moved to Broadway. After undergoing a multi-million dollar renovation in 2005, the Playhouse transitioned into a year-round, state-of-the-art facility, retaining its original charm and character.
