Washington Service Corps

Washington Service Corps is a non-profit organization based in Olympia, Washington, employing 33 people. The organization partners with over 300 nonprofit organizations, local city/county agencies, schools, and early learning centers across the state. Through its AmeriCorps program, Washington Service Corps supplies over 500 AmeriCorps members who dedicate their time to address a variety of community needs. These projects encompass diverse areas such as environmental stewardship, workforce development, nutrition education, veteran support, organizational capacity building, and tutoring for preschool children and students in grades K-4. The Washington Reading Corps, a subsidiary program of Washington Service Corps, operates within schools in partnership with the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI). Washington Service Corps distinguishes itself by acting as an intermediary between service organizations and AmeriCorps members, effectively connecting skilled individuals to critical community initiatives.
