WAHIAWA CENTER FOR COMMUNITY HEALTH

Wahiawa Center for Community Health is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization incorporated in 2012. Located in Wahiawa, Hawaii, the organization employs four individuals and generates annual revenue of $1 million. Wahiawa Health aims to provide affordable, high-quality, and accessible healthcare to the Wahiawa community, regardless of an individual's ability to pay. Wahiawa Health strives to fill the gap in healthcare access for residents of Wahiawa, which is designated by the USDA as a rural community and a Medically Underserved Population (MUP) by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HRSA). They aim to achieve this through providing primary care and wellness services. Established in response to the vision of the late Senator Inouye, Wahiawa Health operates as a legacy project recognized by the Hawaii Congressional Delegation. They collaborate with the Hawaii Department of Health and HRSA's Bureau of Primary Health Care to advocate for Health Professional Shortage Area (HPSA) designation for the Wahiawa-Waialua region, prioritizing funding and resources for the community.
