VOCEL

VOCEL is a non-profit organization based in Chicago, Illinois. Founded in 2013, VOCEL is a small organization with 22 employees. VOCEL operates innovative child-focused programs designed to support families facing adversity and the educators who work with them. Their programs are centered around strengths-based parent support and parent-child early learning, emphasizing language development and emotional support to ensure children are prepared for success in school and life. VOCEL believes parents/caregivers are a child's first and most important teachers and strives to provide them with the necessary resources and support. VOCEL offers several programs to achieve its mission. The VOCEL Child Parent Academy (VCPA) is a 10-month early learning accelerator for both children and their parents. VOCEL also supports school leaders with the Building Early Learning Leaders (BELL) program, and empowers Chicago Public Schools teachers through the Early Educators for Thriving Children (EETC) Fellowship. VOCEL aims to expand its reach, targeting over 2,500 children by 2024. VOCEL's website is vocel.org.
