Virginia Veteran and Family Support

Virginia Veteran and Family Support is a program dedicated to providing comprehensive support services to military members, veterans, and their families across the state of Virginia. Headquartered in Richmond, the organization employs eight individuals and generates over $10,000 in annual revenue. VVFS offers a wide range of services designed to address the diverse needs of veterans and their families, encompassing behavioral health, rehabilitation, and supportive care. These services include direct connections to medical and behavioral healthcare, veteran benefits, housing assistance, employment resources, and a variety of public and private assistance programs. Additionally, VVFS provides peer and family support groups, resilience-focused training, and retreats for couples and families. The program takes a holistic approach to support, offering specialized outreach and assistance to vulnerable veterans, including those at risk of homelessness or involved in the criminal justice system.
