Village of Massena Fire Department

The Village of Massena Fire Department is a combination career/volunteer fire department serving the Massena, New York community. The department consists of nine career firefighters and 63 volunteer firefighters, operating from their station located at 34 Andrews Street. The Village of Massena Fire Department is responsible for responding to a range of emergency calls, providing aid as needed. The department's career firefighters are graduates of the New York State Academy of Fire Science and receive ongoing training. Volunteer firefighters possess diverse training levels, including interior attack, fire suppression, command, and scene support operations. The department recently achieved an ISO Rating of 4, a designation used by insurance companies to help determine fire insurance premiums. The career firefighters of the Massena Permanent Fire Fighters, Local #2220, are led by a Foreman and Assistant Foreman.
