Victor Valley College

Victor Valley College is a large, publicly funded institution located in Victorville, California. Founded in 1961, VVC is the largest publicly funded institution in the Victor Valley, which sits 90 miles northeast of Los Angeles. The college is nestled in the foothills of the San Gabriel and San Bernardino Mountains and serves over 15,000 students each semester. VVC provides a wide range of academic and career training programs, encompassing 25 degrees and more than 125 certificated programs. The college is particularly known for its successful nursing program, with a student NCLEX Licensing Exam pass rate of 88% or higher since 2008. Additionally, Victor Valley College's FAA-approved Aviation School boasts a 90% placement rate for graduates into full-time positions with local aviation companies. The Victor Valley College Regional Public Safety Training Center, a state-of-the-art facility opened in 2012, houses the Administration of Justice, Fire Technology, Emergency Medical Services, and Corrections Programs. This $31.5 million complex is uniquely designed to provide students with cross-training exercises similar to those experienced by first responders on the job.
