United States Student Association

The United States Student Association (USSA) is a non-profit organization based in Washington, District of Columbia. With 22 employees, USSA is dedicated to advocating for student rights and increasing access to higher education. USSA seeks to empower students to become leaders in the fight for education justice by providing training, organizing, and developing a nationwide network of student advocates. They believe that students who are directly impacted by issues of access to higher education should be the primary drivers of solutions. USSA has a long history of success in advocating for student-centered policy changes, having played a key role in the creation of the Pell Grant which now assists nine million students in the United States. The organization continues to mobilize students across the country to achieve concrete victories on issues affecting them.
