UMBC McNair Scholars Program

The UMBC McNair Scholars Program is a research-focused initiative located in Catonsville, Maryland. Operating as a department within the larger UMBC institution, the program employs five individuals. The UMBC McNair Scholars Program aims to empower students from diverse backgrounds, particularly those who are first-generation, income-eligible, and/or historically underrepresented in graduate education. They achieve this by providing opportunities for students to engage in research and scholarly activities, ultimately preparing them for doctoral studies.
