UCLA Student Wellness Commission

The Student Wellness Commission (SWC), formerly known as the Student Welfare Commission, is a student-led organization based in Los Angeles, California. Established in 1964 as part of the Undergraduate Students Association Council, the commission is driven by a mission to promote the health and well-being of UCLA students. With a staff and volunteer base of 550 members, the SWC has grown significantly since its inception. The SWC offers a diverse range of programs and services to support student health, including CPR classes, health symposiums, evening vans, student health facilities, anti-smoking campaigns, free menstrual hygiene products, and health fairs. They also organize philanthropic and community service events such as blood drives and the Run/Walk at UCLA. Driven by the belief that a well-rounded education extends beyond the classroom, the SWC emphasizes holistic student development through its extensive programming.
