UAB School of Engineering

The UAB School of Engineering is an ABET-accredited engineering school located in Birmingham, Alabama. The school employs 29 individuals and generates approximately $50 million in annual revenue. The UAB School of Engineering offers undergraduate degrees in Biomedical, Civil, Electrical and Computer, Mechanical, Materials Engineering, and Engineering Design. It also provides multiple graduate degree programs at the master's and doctoral levels. Serving roughly 1,200 students, the school fosters an environment where students can gain practical experience through co-ops and internships with local industries. The UAB School of Engineering has a strong history of supporting entrepreneurship. Its graduates are found in diverse roles, including successful start-ups, traditional engineering positions, academia, research, and corporate leadership positions globally. Notably, the Department of Biomedical Engineering has consistently ranked among the top four in the nation for NIH funding.
