TuTTies Place

TuTTie’s Place is a non-profit corporation based in Baltimore, Maryland. Established in 1996, the organization is dedicated to providing a supportive environment for adolescent males in the foster care system. Led by Executive Director Brenda Boyd, TuTTie’s Place is committed to helping youth ages 14-21 develop into responsible, respectful, and accountable individuals. The organization operates five group homes, serving over 250 young people since its inception. TuTTie’s Place offers a unique approach to care, focusing on holistic wellness. This includes teaching self-healing techniques such as meditation, yoga, reiki, reflexology, qigong, and massage, providing an alternative to traditional psychotropic medications. The organization also features an on-site labyrinth for guided meditations. TuTTie’s Place has a nine-member Board of Directors and is licensed by the Department of Human Resources to care for adolescent males in the foster care system. The organization's mission is to empower youth to experience discipline, commitment, and excellence within a healing and nurturing environment. They strive to help youth earn their high school diplomas and foster an interest in higher education.
