ThirdSpace Action Lab

ThirdSpace Action Lab (TSAL) is a Black-owned, Black woman-led small business based in Cleveland, Ohio. The company, which employs 14 people, focuses on developing creative solutions to socio-economic challenges faced by low-income communities of color. TSAL operates as a grassroots solutions studio, blending multidisciplinary research with community organizing to create evidence-based strategies. Their work centers on activating “third places,” spaces outside of traditional home and workplace environments, to foster liberation and empowerment for people of color. TSAL's approach distinguishes itself through its focus on community engagement and place-based solutions. They work collaboratively with local residents, organizations, and institutions to develop strategies that are tailored to the specific needs of each community.
