The Village Method TVM

The Village Method (TVM) is a grassroots, community-based organization operating in Union City, California. Founded by Mark and Mahea Gaskins, TVM is dedicated to empowering youth and families of African-ancestry and strengthening communities. With a team of 5 to 9 employees, TVM works to address gaps in education, civic representation, and access to opportunities through various programs and initiatives. TVM's primary focus is on youth development, family engagement, and community outreach. The organization's flagship program is an after-school program that began in 2014 in partnership with the Union City school district. This program has since grown to support over 100 families, serving nearly 400 individuals.
