The Program on Negotiation

The Program on Negotiation (PON) is a research center based in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The organization is a consortium of Harvard, MIT, and Tufts, collaborating with numerous other organizations and practitioners in the Boston area and beyond. With 11 employees, PON focuses on the theory and practice of negotiation and dispute resolution across various public and private sectors. PON offers a variety of negotiation and mediation courses, ranging from two to five days in length. These courses are led by leading faculty and experts in the field, covering topics like Negotiation and Leadership, the Harvard Negotiation Institute, and the Advanced Negotiation Master Class. Participants come from diverse backgrounds, including executives, government officials, corporate trainers, and lawyers from around the world. Beyond its courses, PON's Teaching Negotiation Resource Center plays a vital role in the field. This center develops and distributes a wide array of teaching materials, such as role-play simulations, negotiation newsletters, interactive exercises, books, educational videos, curricular packages, and scholarly working papers.
