The Mary C OKeefe Cultural Center for Art and Education

The Mary C. O'Keefe Cultural Center is a non-profit organization based in Ocean Springs, Mississippi. With three employees, the Center plays a vital role in the local arts community. The Mary C. O'Keefe Cultural Center offers a diverse range of programs and facilities for the arts. The Trent Lott Performing Arts Theater, with its seating capacity of 383, hosts concerts, plays, musicals, recitals, and town meetings. The Scharr-Ello Studio provides professional audio/video recording, mastering, and editing services, aiming to foster a musicians exchange network for Mississippi and the Gulf Coast. Additionally, the Center offers space for community gatherings, including meetings, workshops, celebrations, small recitals, and demonstrations. The Center's mission is to restore the historic 1927 Ocean Springs School building and provide a vibrant environment for artistic expression. It is operated by the Friends of the Mary C. O'Keefe Cultural Center of Arts and Education, who work collaboratively with the City of Ocean Springs.
