The Krause Fund

The Krause Fund is a student-managed equity fund located in Iowa City, Iowa. It is a non-profit organization with 25 employees. The Krause Fund offers investment management services to the University of Iowa. Students enrolled in the Applied Equity Valuation course manage the fund, applying valuation techniques and analytical tools used by professional analysts. They evaluate companies across various industries, providing detailed investment recommendations. The fund utilizes a top-down research approach, integrating economic, industry, and company analysis. Students employ various valuation techniques, including discounted cash flow (DCF), economic value added (EVA), relative multiple analysis, and fundamental multiple analysis.
