THE CITADEL ALUMNI ASSOCIATION

THE CITADEL ALUMNI ASSOCIATION is a non-profit organization based in Charleston, South Carolina. The organization employs 14 people and generates $2.5 million in annual revenue. Founded in 1852, the CAA operates as a self-sustaining entity dedicated to supporting The Citadel, the South Carolina Corps of Cadets, and all alumni. The CAA's mission centers on upholding the ideals and traditions of The Citadel and its alumni. They achieve this through the publication of the Alumni News magazine and the organization of various social events. These events include Homecoming, Gold Corps Reunion, Ring Presentation, football tailgates, and other gatherings designed to foster a sense of community among alumni. A key function of the CAA is the management and distribution of the Citadel's iconic alumni ring. They oversee the process of awarding rings to eligible alumni and maintain the tradition associated with this symbol of membership in the Citadel community.
