The Bel Canto Childrens Chorus

The Bel Canto Children’s Chorus is a musical ensemble based in Pennsylvania. Founded in 1993, the chorus consists of auditioned young singers from five counties in southeastern Pennsylvania. The chorus is comprised of 5 to 9 employees and generates annual revenue of $1 million. The Bel Canto Children’s Chorus is renowned for its diverse choral repertoire and commitment to musical excellence. They are recognized for their innovative and artistic programming, which has been showcased at numerous conferences for the American Choral Directors Association, Music Educators National Conference, and Pennsylvania Music Educators Association. The choir’s accomplishments include participating in the Philadelphia premiere of John Adams’ “On the Transmigration of Souls” and embarking on its first international tour in 2009. This tour took them to Italy, where they performed throughout the Tuscany and Umbria regions and sang at St. Peter’s Basilica in the Vatican.
