The Arc of King County

The Arc of King County is a non-profit organization based in Renton, Washington. Founded in 1936, the organization has grown from a small group of parents in Pierce and King Counties to a statewide network of individuals, families, service providers, and community members advocating for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The Arc of King County supports nine local county chapters throughout Washington State. The organization works to ensure that people with developmental disabilities, including those with Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, epilepsy, autism, and other genetic and neurological syndromes, have the opportunity to live full and inclusive lives within their communities. The Arc of King County is affiliated with The Arc of the United States, a national organization dedicated to advocating for the rights and inclusion of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
