The 502 Project

The 502 Project is a non-profit organization based in the United States dedicated to building a bridge between aspiring cybersecurity professionals and the established cybersecurity community. With a team of three employees, the organization aims to create a vibrant online platform that connects local cybersecurity events with formal educational pathways. The 502 Project's primary focus is on empowering high-school students to explore and pursue careers in cybersecurity. Their platform facilitates connections between students and mentors, college advisors, and other professionals in the field. The project also seeks to provide a networking space for cybersecurity student organizations throughout the Southeast Region, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing among students. This initiative is driven by a grant from the National Security Agency’s National Centers of Academic for Excellence in Cybersecurity (NCAE-C) program office. The 502 Project relies on a strong network of partners, including the University of South Florida, the University of West Florida, Florida International University, Tennessee Tech University, Forsyth Technical College, St. Petersburg College, Cyversity, and the Florida Center for Cybersecurity (Cyber Florida).
