The Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) is a state agency headquartered in Austin, Texas. Established in 1909, TDLR employs over 600 individuals and generates an annual revenue of $100 million. As the primary state agency in Texas responsible for licensing and regulating professions, businesses, facilities, and equipment, TDLR plays a crucial role in safeguarding the health and safety of Texans. TDLR's mission is to protect the public by ensuring Texans are served by qualified professionals across a range of industries. The agency oversees 39 different licensing programs, covering a wide array of occupations and businesses.
