Tennessee World Affairs Council

The Tennessee World Affairs Council is a nonpartisan, nonprofit educational association based in Nashville, Tennessee. The organization is comprised of four employees and generates an annual revenue of $1 million. The Tennessee World Affairs Council aims to foster a community of informed and engaged citizens who critically analyze global events and their impact. They achieve this through a variety of programs, including distinguished speaker series, seminars, webinars, podcasts, and educational outreach initiatives in high schools and universities. The Council offers a unique platform for connecting with foreign ambassadors, diplomats, business leaders, military officers, scholars, and other experts through its regular webinar and podcast series. They also run the Academic WorldQuest program, which encourages high school student interest in global affairs through weekly quizzes, scholarship programs, and a state-wide tournament culminating in a national competition and a trip to Washington, D.C.
