Tasveer is a United States-based organization located in Bellevue, Washington, with 26 employees. Tasveer is the only Oscars Qualifying South Asian Film Festival in the world. They provide a platform and funds to filmmakers and storytellers from South Asia and its diaspora, with a mission to inspire social change through film, art, and storytelling. Tasveer strives to make meaningful films and stories accessible to everyone, fostering a deeper understanding of South Asian culture and building a more just society. Tasveer engages the community through films representing Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Nepal, Pakistan, Tibet, and Sri Lanka.
