Sustainable Schools International

Sustainable Schools International (SSI) is a non-profit organization based in Cambodia. The organization employs 5 to 9 people and focuses on sustainable education for rural economic development. SSI believes in empowering youth leadership to drive progress in rural areas, funding education through social enterprise initiatives. SSI operates four distinct programs designed to create a lasting impact. Project School Success provides crucial support to rural schools to improve their operations and academic performance. The Leadership Academy offers a residential program in Phnom Penh for exceptional students, where they can pursue academic or vocational training while developing essential leadership and entrepreneurial skills. The Community Impact Hub serves as an incubator for social enterprises, mentoring graduates of the Leadership Academy as they contribute to their communities or launch their own sustainable development projects. Finally, Project Community Prosper, located within the Community Impact Hub, offers micro-loans to village-based businesses, generating income that contributes to the School Success Fund. This integrated, self-sustaining model fosters a cycle of education and economic growth.
