Susquehanna Heritage

Susquehanna Heritage is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization based in Pennsylvania. As a Pennsylvania Heritage Area, the organization focuses on promoting the Susquehanna Riverlands as a premier destination for both outdoor enthusiasts and history buffs. With 14 employees, Susquehanna Heritage strives to enhance the region's appeal through a variety of initiatives. The organization develops and implements projects that connect visitors with the Susquehanna River's rich history and natural beauty. They manage two key facilities: the Zimmerman Center for Heritage, a historic homestead south of Wrightsville, PA, featuring house tours, art exhibits, and recreational opportunities, and the Columbia Crossing River Trails Center, a riverfront facility in Columbia, PA, dedicated to education and recreation. Both centers serve as important points of access for the Captain John Smith Chesapeake National Historic Trail. Susquehanna Heritage distinguishes itself through its commitment to preserving and promoting the unique cultural and natural heritage of the Susquehanna Riverlands.
